Learning About Neglect Event Series – Webinar 7 – A strengths-based approach to working with children and families in Glasgow City

Published: 21 November 2024

CPCScotland, with support from CELCIS and the Scottish Government, is promoting a new series of free webinars, focusing on neglect for child protection leaders and practitioners across Scotland.

This 7th webinar of the series focusses on a strengths-based approach to working with children and families in Glasgow City.

The webinar explores how Glasgow’s approach has evolved and is reflecting The Promise and getting it right for every child (GIRFEC), by focussing on improving support and early help to children and families, which is trauma informed and attuned to the context of poverty and unmet need.

In this webinar you will hear from Mike Burns, the Programme Director for Child Poverty and Early Intervention, and Karen Dyball, the Assistant Chief Officer for Children’s Services and Glasgow Health and Social Care Partnership.
